The breakfast is included, with toast, marmalade, jam, margarine and chocolate spread, plus packaged Magdalenas and croissants. They have green tea and instant coffee with milk. There’s no stove or oven, just a microwave, toaster and fridge. Blankets and sheets were good, and there are locks and keys for the valuables lockers in and outside the bedrooms. Check-in requires a €10 deposit for the building key, and towels cost €2 to rent. The shower pressure is laughably weak if you use any hot water, and there were drain flies in the showers. Those drains need cleaning. The advertised €12 club night includes entry to two bars and a club, with things like a free shot, drink deals and free club cover. I didn’t go, so can’t say how it was. For the price, it’s a cozy hostel and I had a good stay, though the showers could use a cleanup.

The staff are friendly, and it’s reasonably clean with a basic breakfast. The shower is in poor shape, and the hostel itself isn’t in very good condition. It’s in a quiet area not far from the center. Generally, a decent option if you’re short on money.

It was clean, and the other guests were friendly. They had useful ideas, maps and flyers for things to do in Madrid. Check-in is available 24 hours, and the staff are friendly and comfortable speaking English. Most major attractions are around a 20-minute walk away, and two metro stops are less than five minutes away.

The bed linen looked poorly washed, and there was someone else’s hair all over my pillow. The floor was coming apart too. They only take cash and point you to an ATM with an extortionate exchange rate and usage fees. My reservation was cancelled without notice or a refund. When I arrived with nowhere else to go, they tried to charge double for a room with more people. Avoid this place, they’ll try to scam you. I’d stay away like it’s the plague.

The room and service were adequate, and clean. The included breakfast was a bit poor, and the showers and toilets weren’t as clean as I expected. Still, the price for what you get is very good.
