Sleeping here was almost impossible during Madrid’s severe cold spell because the blankets were so thin, more suited to summer. The hostel also has just one bathroom shared across both floors, and unpleasant smells were everywhere. The kitchen closes one hour after midnight, when the burners and cooking utensils are taken away. Even ordering food from outside doesn’t help, since the tables are cleared and there’s nowhere to eat. I found that bizarre and completely unjustified. This was by far the worst accommodation experience of my life, and I’d strongly advise against staying here unless you’re prepared for a highly inconvenient, unpleasant stay.

The sleeping area was uncomfortable, and the place felt cramped. The toilets were in extremely poor condition, and there was a very unpleasant smell throughout. I also saw clear signs of racial discrimination, which is completely unacceptable. Next time, I’d rather pay more for comfort and peace of mind.

The rooms and cabins were too cramped, cleanliness was very poor, and there’s no kitchen. In one first-floor shower, barely any water came through and there was no hot water. The male receptionists were kind, though. I also found the online booking situation fishy, with Thursday-to-Monday prices that can triple. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I stayed for more than 10 days and found the staff very friendly. They kept pushing me to pay through Booking.com, even though paying cash would have brought them about €3 more per day. I think the hostel should bring its nightly price down from €15 to around €5-10. 🙏👍

We were out visiting the city for a few hours, and when we returned at 11 PM, our beds had been given to someone else. We had to wait an hour while they found us another hostel, and that place was in bad condition. A very bad experience.
