The kitchen is open for guests to cook in, with basics like pasta and rice, and there are also self-service machines for coffee, tea, chips, and chocolate. Wi-Fi worked well, and the hostel has a pleasant feel. It’s conveniently near the airport, though the usually empty lanes around it can feel unsettling to walk through. Most of the staff were helpful and polite. The daytime receptionist, though, was quite rude, especially toward non-white guests, which was disappointing. The bathroom sensor lights were another frustration: they go off every 30 seconds to a minute, leaving you in the dark. Bedsheets also aren’t cleaned or changed daily. It’s a decent option if being near the airport and having a cozy hostel atmosphere are what you’re after, though the hospitality and facilities could use improvement.

A good price for a clean one-night stay near the airport. The beds have curtains, and they provide a body towel and a locker with a lock. I wish the blankets were thicker and that they included another towel for your hands and face.

My roommates were considerate, so I managed a few hours of sleep before my flight. The shower and toilet are in separate rooms attached to the dorm, which means other travelers could make noise while you’re asleep. The bunk was clean, 10/10, and came with sheets, a pillow and duvet, plus a large shower towel. The shower was 8.5/10 for cleanliness. There’s a common room and kitchen downstairs, where I made coffee with my own supplies and sorted out my bags before leaving. For convenience, 9.5/10. I walked to Terminal 2 around 6am, following Google maps. It took 20 minutes to get to the security checkpoint. The walk was easy with a backpack, and probably more annoying with wheeled luggage, but still doable if you’re determined. The streets were empty at that hour, but I didn’t feel unsafe. Check-in is available around the clock, and the person who welcomed me was friendly and spoke English, which helped when I was exhausted between travel legs. From Chamartin train station, I took a Bolt around midnight on Wednesday. It took under 20 minutes and cost about €16.

There’s a small pool and a pleasant patio outside, with vending machines and a microwave in the lobby. The room layout worked well, and my room was clean with a very comfortable bed. There was a locker under the bed for a suitcase, plus a private shower and toilet shared only by people in the dorm. It was a five-minute cab ride from the airport. I stayed during a flight change and would really recommend it for a stopover or a budget trip.
