We couldn’t take a shower because there was no hot water, even after we contacted reception.

My booking was canceled just four days before I was due to arrive. I’d reserved it nine months ahead to get a good price. I believe they sold my room to someone else for more.

It’s about a seven-minute walk to Usera metro station, and they did have disposable toothbrush kits in the bathroom. The room itself was a different story. There were stains on the floor and walls, plus hair on the floor, though the place felt more improvised than outright dirty. There was no fridge or nightstand, and the smart TV only had YouTube, no TV cable. The bathroom door had been fitted badly and wouldn’t close, leaving a big gap. Not romantic when you need to do #2. The shower door also wouldn’t shut fully, so water dripped into the room. Ventilation was almost always running; to turn it off, you had to ask someone at reception. The decor was a jumble of colors and odd ceramic patterns, and the elevator had buttons for nine floors in a building with only five.

The receptionist was really friendly with all the guests. Everything was good, would recommend.
