Our terrace was roomy and comfortable, although a wall around it partly blocked the view. Next time, we might try a room with a smaller balcony overlooking the street. The superior room itself was spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely styled. We could have used a few more wardrobe hangers, about our only small complaint. Hotel du Temps is just minutes from Gran Via, on a quiet street surrounded by neighborhoods like Malasaña, Chueca and La Latina. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful, and made us feel at ease. Breakfast was excellent and included when booking direct, which I’d recommend over the big hotel booking sites. We also got a voucher for a delicious glass of vermouth on arrival, just check the bar’s opening hours. They stored our luggage on the last day without any trouble. We’d been planning the trip for a long time, and the hotel helped make it special. We’ll be back, and would like to try the Paris branch too.

The rooftop terrace and the restaurant and bar were incredible, with great food and drinks. Everything about the decor felt cute and thoughtfully done, and the staff were so kind and helpful. It’s in the perfect Madrid neighborhood. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks to Hotel du Temps for making our time in Madrid so special.

The room was just barely big enough for two tall Americans, which was our only complaint. We were there for a week over the holidays to visit our son and his fiancé, and it felt special having almost the whole place to ourselves. The staff were warm and welcoming. We loved the vibe and the decor, a refreshing 1930s look with modern conveniences instead of cookie-cutter modern style. It’s a great hotel, just minutes from all the action.

The location’s great, the staff are super sweet and attentive, and I liked the interior design. But our room felt like a deprivation tank. It never got sunlight, and the view was a pipe and a dirty wall. With the window open, all we heard was the loud AC units. Ask for an exterior room, or keep your expectations in check. We asked to move because we have a young child and were spending more time inside than usual. The receptionist was understanding and tried to help, but there weren’t any other rooms available.

It’s small and quirky, and I loved it. Every room and terrace has live plants. Ana at reception is really nice and helpful. You’re within a block of Grand Via, with every shop and restaurant you could think of.
