Madrid Marriott Hotel Princesa Plaza

The only snag for us was the TV. It didn't have the original remote, so using it was difficult, and we couldn't work out how to connect our Netflix account. They left one complimentary bottle of water when we arrived, but didn't replace it on later days. Coffee capsules were replenished daily. Otherwise, it was a very comfortable stay. The spacious rooms have been recently renovated and are well equipped. The hotel sits right above El Corte Inglés, and several central, charming parts of Madrid are an easy walk away. I'd recommend it for a city break or a business trip. It's pleasant and very conveniently located.

El Corte Inglés is right next door, and inside there's Aloma, a Portuguese pastry shop with excellent egg custards that many people in Madrid don't even know about. Ask for them warm if you go. The hotel's location in central Madrid is a real plus. We found the hotel comfortable, with cosy rooms and welcoming shared spaces. The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly, and attentive. The bar was nice too, and the staff there were friendly. Breakfast had a wide, varied selection for different tastes, and I think it's worth including for future guests because there's plenty to choose from. I had a very positive stay and would happily come back.

Efren was the best. Every day he made sure we had what we needed, and he was professional and greeted us with a smile each night. The M lounge was very nice, and the evening buffet was excellent. We also enjoyed the spacious rooms and the convenient spot near restaurants, bars, and shopping. Had a nice stay recently, and I hope to return soon.

The rooms have been newly renovated, and it's actually a nice place. But they don't offer guests free internet unless you belong to their loyalty program. Seriously, in 2025, at a place charging 250€ a night? That's ridiculous. Marriott, you've lost me as a customer. I won't be loyal, and I'll go somewhere else next time. I'll be skipping Marriot Hotels.
