ICON Casona 1900 by Petit Palace

The location worked well for me, but I wouldn't recommend the hotel because the service fell below the basics. Sleep was already my main concern, and it didn't go well. After a late night, I put the do not disturb sign on the door, but reception still called to ask about room cleaning or fresh towels. I declined, then housekeeping knocked shortly afterwards to ask about towels as well. There was also confusion over the late checkout I arranged the night before leaving. I was told it was available for €50, which I accepted. The next morning, when I went to settle the bill without checking out, the charge wasn't there. The receptionist said there was no note of the arrangement. Later, after the regular checkout time, my key stopped working, so I had to ask that same receptionist to fix it. The lobby design and breakfast fruit selection might have made for a nice review, but those weren't what mattered most to me.

Our premium room was beautiful, quiet, and comfortable, and the little balcony was a lovely touch. I was also impressed by the lighting system. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like royalty and were attentive and helpful at every turn. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel. For my husband's birthday, the staff brought him a muffin with a candle and complimentary cava. So sweet. I can't recommend this place enough. A 10!

A comfortable room, a lovely rainfall shower, and an excellent complimentary breakfast made for a great stay. The staff were incredibly accommodating too. It's a good value boutique hotel in Madrid's Salamanca area, with loads of shops and restaurants just a few minutes away on foot. If you're after somewhere reasonably priced in Salamanca, this is a great option.

The breakfast buffet was spot on, and the location was perfect. What really made my trip, though, was how thoughtful the staff were. Alejandra at the front desk and Maria the manager were awesome, as was everyone else. The Italian bartender Michael was amazing, the night clerk was great, and Luisa was super helpful at breakfast. They take care of all the little things that make a trip easier and help you feel special, so you can enjoy the city or whatever you've got planned. I love the hotel and its staff, and I'll definitely come back. Whether you're visiting for work or fun, this place is a gem. Thanks, guys, you made my trip.
