Having all kinds of public transport, food, and shops close by was key, and the area felt VERY safe. The amenities felt like a very nice hotel. Our family of four had a room that worked for four adults, with two upper bunks and two lower beds that could be pushed together or kept apart. It was VERY CLEAN, with fresh towels. The toilet, shower, and sink were separate, which made it easy for four adults to share. The window opened onto the street, with a balcony we could step out onto. It was a cool vibe to open it for fresh air and hear the city. There wasn’t much room to relax in the room, but downstairs there were plenty of options, including a fireplace room, outdoor lounge, cafe, and bar. The attached cafe and bar were great for getting together over drinks in the evening, so there was no need to stay cooped up. There wasn’t a typical shared kitchen like you find in many hostels. We were a group of 10 and had plenty going on together, so weren’t very interested in socializing with other guests. Don’t hesitate, get a room and enjoy Madrid!

We chose a private room, and it was clean, quiet, and looked new. The bed was comfy, the water pressure was good, and there was plenty of hot water. French doors opened onto a small balcony with a nice view. The staff were friendly, and the cafe downstairs was very good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It’s right across from the main train station, which suited us since we flew into Madrid one evening and took a train out the next morning. The room was a bit pricey, but everything in Madrid is.

The rooms are nice enough and the location is good, but the top bunk was unbearably hot and I struggled to sleep. The AC didn’t help. I was also disappointed that they charge to leave your bag. It’s the only hotel or hostel I’ve been to anywhere that does that. Fix those two things and it’d be a great place to stay.

I was there for just one night. It definitely seems aimed at young people. Reception was really nice, and they even gave me a phone number to call if I needed anything or had a question. Breakfast was okay. I’d have liked a kettle in the private room so I could at least make tea. The heater was locked, and I couldn’t turn it up a bit. In general, I’d recommend it.

They made my experience terrible. They pick personal fights with people. They canceled my reservation at the last minute without giving a reason, while I was arriving at Madrid airport, and offered me separate accommodation without refunding my prepayment. If I could have stayed here for four days, why wasn’t that money refunded? This hostel started the holiday I’d been looking forward to for a long time. If you pay regularly, you won’t have problems. Very few staff members are polite. They’re rude and don’t give any guidance. This hostel is a money-grabbing, awful place. It seems corporate!
