Hotel Liabeny

The breakfast was a real letdown for me as someone with coeliac disease. There was a small gluten-free area with around four slices of bread and a toaster, but not much else. When I asked about gluten-free muffins or sweet treats, I was told there weren't any. Communication issues also made it seem there were no hot gluten-free choices, and nothing was marked for allergies. I did feel safe during my stay, but as a solo traveler I would've liked a second lock or a peephole on the door for reassurance. The room wasn't fully blacked out, and for a four-star hotel I expected it to be quieter. Outside noise, thermostat clicks, and pipe sounds from outside disturbed me at night. The hotel's central location, spotless cleanliness, and helpful staff made a strong first impression, though these issues brought my rating down.

The staff were polite and very helpful, and we appreciated being able to check out late. It's right in the center, but the location wasn't particularly noisy. Our room was quiet, spacious, fully equipped, with really big beds. A 10/10 stay for us, and we'll definitely return.

The room was clean and roomy, with a big, relaxing shower, and breakfast tasted good. The staff were kind too. We had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel, right in the heart of Madrid and within walking distance of the main sights.

The room itself was good, but I suggest asking for one away from the street because of nighttime noise. The bathroom drain wasn't working properly, though I could manage. Breakfast was the main reason for my three stars: there wasn't much choice, and they only served scrambled eggs, with no fried or boiled eggs.
