Limehome Madrid Calle de la Paloma

The shower head was broken, and the fridge made a loud noise every hour, like a plane overhead, for about fifteen minutes. Outside the window there was another recurring racket every ten minutes, as loud as a motorboat, maybe from an AC installation. We couldn’t sleep at all. The studio was also run down, with a worn, sagging mattress and broken springs. Someone had already mentioned the bed in a review five months earlier, which makes these BnB companies seem cheap. Either we got the worst studio in the building, or most of these reviews are fake. I don’t know how this place has four stars.

The rooms felt a bit shabby, and there are no bathroom hooks or service person. Noise was the main problem: slamming doors kept waking us, and one morning the kid next door woke us by singing because the walls are so thin. We really struggled to sleep and wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Everything we needed for our week was provided, and when we asked for extra bath towels they arrived quickly. They also got a baby crib set up for us straight away. There was even a laundry drying rack tucked under the bed. This was the cleanest hotel I stayed in during my time in Spain: housekeeping was impeccable, the kitchen was polished, and there wasn’t a speck of dust. Unlike most hotels, the bathroom had no mold.

The self check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and the apartment was modern, clean, and well equipped for the price. Limehome Madrid Calle de la Paloma exceeded my expectations. It’s right in the heart of Madrid, close to major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. A comfortable, stylish stay, highly recommended.
