The place was very clean, and the location is hard to beat, close to a major metro station and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and attractions. My room was small but had what I needed. I had a rough night with loud banging from upstairs that sounded like furniture being moved or someone jumping, almost like an elephant walking. You may hear street noise or guests above, so I'd ask for a top-floor room. Also, the woman at reception doesn't speak English, which can make communication difficult unless you speak Spanish.

The owners were kind and accommodating, and check-in was very easy. The building is beautiful, the rooms are clean and have everything you need, and even though you're right in the middle of things, it stayed quiet and peaceful. It's extremely central and near one of the biggest metro stations, so you can get anywhere. I plan to stay here whenever I visit the city and would highly recommend it.

The location is ideal for exploring Madrid on a short budget city break. The room, bed, and shower were all very small. We knew there were no tea or coffee facilities, but the vending machine had run out of cups.

If you're a light sleeper, avoid a balcony room. People who've just finished partying shout outside in the early morning, and it's extremely noisy. For me, that lively atmosphere was part of the fun, especially as a first-time visitor to Spain. The hotel is right in the centre, near Sol and Opera train stations. Our room was well maintained, with air conditioning, and we were given towels. The bathroom was a good size compared with the one we had in Valencia, the water pressure was great, and the hot shower felt wonderful after dragging my luggage from the airport. The WIFI was fast. From Aeropuerto T4, get off at Chamartin and take the train to Sol. Google maps suggestions change frequently, so check before you go.
