Modern 1 Bed Apt, Sleeps 4 nr Lavapies

I came for a few days last year, liked it so much that I returned, and ended up staying two weeks. It really started to feel like home. I was in a 14-bed dorm and was quite comfortable there, more so than I’d expected. The partitions between beds are thick enough to give you some privacy, and the co-working area was nice too. The place and its bathrooms are clean, while the staff are polite, helpful, friendly and always around. I have lovely memories of the events they put on every day. I’d recommend staying here.

The area felt safe and quiet, with plenty of good cafes, restaurants and bars that seemed local. I spent a week at the hostel while working remotely, and my female-only room was quiet and comfortable. The bathrooms and other facilities were very clean, and the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. There was an evening activity every day, which made meeting people easy.

I love this hostel and would pick it over anywhere else. June is especially lovely, so welcoming and kind, and I really appreciated the hospitality. Whenever I had a question, staff helped quickly. There’s a box in the fridge with free food, and free toiletries in the bathroom, apparently left by past guests for people staying later. I felt safe leaving my things unlocked in the storage space under my bed, though it does have a hole where you can add a lock. The facilities are cleaned in the morning and throughout the day, and you regularly see the cleaning or front desk team around. Much love to the staff.

I'm writing this in the dorm in the middle of the night. I already changed rooms once hoping things would improve, but the stay keeps getting worse day by day. Having to leave a 5EUR deposit just to keep belongings secure under your own bed, instead of locks being provided, says plenty. Everything is card-only, too. I've never felt this miserable in a hostel, and I can't recommend anything about this place.
