Negresco Gran Vía

The room was clean and renovated, with a really good bathroom and excellent toilet and shower. The hotel’s modern tech features were convenient, and the location is excellent. One thing that bothered me was the bed. It moves around too easily, which made sleeping less comfortable. There’s also no in-room safe, and adding one would be useful.

I was after somewhere basic in the city centre, and this did the job. The sound insulation is basically nonexistent, but fortunately people seemed to turn in early. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

Friendly staff and good value for money. The room had air conditioning, and the digital key was handy: I could open it through a web app or enter a code at the door. The location just off Gran Via is great. The stairs could make it difficult for disabled guests, though.

The room was small, but fine for one person. I also liked the balcony, and the digital system meant I could unlock the door on my phone without a key. The place was clean, the staff were good, and the location worked well for me. Construction outside is easy to hear, so the windows could use better sound insulation. Nothing else in particular bothered me.
