We stayed two nights, but after the first one had to move to another floor because of maintenance across the building. That was unpleasant but understandable. The bigger problem was that the access code we were given didn't work, and we were locked out three separate times. With nobody on site, we had no idea how long each fix would take, and it was stressful. Getting help was a huge hassle. You start with an AI chat, then get passed to a person, who might respond after 15 minutes or much longer, all through WhatsApp. When we called during the problem, I believe we were connected to headquarters in Germany. The elevator also broke down several times, so we had to carry our luggage up and down. It's a new property in a very central part of Madrid, but the lack of a front desk or physical room keys made things much harder when issues came up. The stay was highly stressful and left us feeling that an on-site front desk is absolutely necessary.

The spacious room and very good location were the only real positives. The advertised rooftop pool, one reason we booked, was unusable when we visited: the water was green and clearly unmaintained. Dust and spider webs were visible on the poorly kept terrace. During our four-night stay, no one came into the room to clean. The sheets were never changed and the towels weren't replaced, which felt far below a reasonable standard for a place costing around €250 per night. We had no hot water. The chatbot was slow and unhelpful, and although we were told someone would come fix it, nobody arrived. After I eventually reached a real person by phone, I also reported that the toilets were dirty when we checked in. I was assured both issues would be fixed and that snacks and drinks would be sent as an apology. Someone came the next day to clean the toilets, but the hot water still wasn't properly sorted and the promised snacks and drinks never came. The property is entirely contactless, with no reception or staff physically on site. All support is online, and reaching a chatbot when something goes wrong was a significant problem. There are no physical keys either, access is through a phone and an app, adding another complication. At around €250 a night, the experience fell significantly short of what we expected and didn't justify the price.
The location is great, but I had problems during this stay. The elevator in this building was out of service for a week, and one morning the fire alarm started buzzing when there was no fire. It took them an hour to turn it off. The AC didn't work even though it was hot outside. Also, the laundry room costs extra, unlike at most Numa hotels, and you have to get detergent at a supermarket because none is stocked or sold in the laundry room. I've stayed with Numa before.
The room was really clean and quiet, and the location was great. Had a lovely stay, totally recommend it!
I had an amazing five-night stay. The Numa team was awesome, thanks for everything. I'll definitely come back soon, especially since you guys are all over Europe.
