Numa Madrid Sol

We came in with high hopes for this "hotel," but got a different room from the one we'd booked, no WIFI and a TV that didn't work. There was ZERO service. WhatsApp "guest experience" took more than 3 hours to reply, despite claiming a 5-10min response time. They seemed more interested in troubleshooting and eating into our holiday than sending someone to fix the WIFI. Then they sent a clearly fake "internet outage" email to save face, apparently not realizing guests could see it had gone only to our individual email addresses rather than a bcc blast to everyone. The rooms were clean and the location decent, which is the only reason this isn't a 1 star review. Lesson learned: a good deal is rarely a good deal.

I paid over $700 for 3 nights, and couldn't get anyone to help through their app. There's no one they can send when you have a problem. The WIFI didn't work, the TV wouldn't work, and worse, the climate control was set to heat only. The AC wasn't working because they hadn't turned it on as of May 18. Don't stay here, save yourself the aggravation.

It's clean and the location is great, but I wouldn't call this a four-star hotel. You can hear footsteps from the floor above, the curtains don't block all the light, and the windows only look onto an internal courtyard. There's no security latch on the door. Also, an 11:00 a.m. checkout isn't standard for a four-star hotel in Europe.

We had a wonderful stay and loved the hotel. It's on a busy street, but we couldn't hear anything. The room was a good size for a couple, with a very comfortable king bed. Highly recommend.
