One Shot Fortuny

The breakfast was amazing, and I’d recommend getting it as part of the package. The service and food were outstanding for a four-star hotel, and the staff had thoughtful little things ready, like jelly, toothpaste and a toothbrush, tea, coffee, and more. Those details make a real difference when travelling. The design details all go together beautifully, and the hotel has great facilities. The location is also great, near attractions and good restaurants.

The hotel is beautifully designed and in a great location, but being locked out of my room ruined the experience. After a night out, my key stopped working. Reception programmed another one, but that failed too, and even the hotel’s master key couldn’t open the door. They said I’d have to wait until morning for maintenance. They gave me another room to sleep in, but I couldn’t get to my clothes or toiletries, so it was uncomfortable. When maintenance arrived the next morning, I got back into my room just long enough to shower, change, and check out for the airport. I understand the problem wasn’t reception’s fault, but I’d paid quite a bit for a four-star hotel and had no access to my things for the only night I booked. The hotel offered no apology or compensation at first. After I contacted management, they offered 15% off a future booking. Better than nothing, but it doesn’t feel like appropriate compensation, and I won’t be returning.

Clean and nice, with great staff and food!

My keycard stopped working every day. The receptionist had set it to expire after checkout the next day instead of after my three nights, so I had to go back downstairs, wait in line, and get it reset. It failed again the following day, probably because she entered the wrong date again. When I went down once more, the same receptionist got an attitude and told me to keep the card away from my phone. I’ve travelled for 20 years and don’t need a lecture on using a keycard when the dates were entered incorrectly. It’s the receptionist’s job to set the cards correctly. Please hire trained staff, there are plenty of quality people with hospitality training here. I wish management at one Shot Fortuny would dismiss this aggressive, incompetent receptionist with curly blond hair, who got the dates wrong twice and then acted annoyed when confronted, and hire someone professional who wants to work there. If I wanted to troubleshoot a dead keycard every day and teach staff to enter a number, I’d have gone somewhere cheaper. After feedback from the reception manager, I’ve raised my rating from two to three stars. The mistake itself isn’t the issue. It’s this staff member’s entitled attitude while trying to cover it up.
