It’s a decent place to stay, and it was always clean while I was there. The transport connections are good, too. I did see a bedbug the day before checkout, after dismissing an earlier comment about them as a bluff. I also wish there had been another waste bin. When I was checking out, none of my calls were answered. It could work for a basic stay, but there’s no kitchen equipment or Wi-Fi.

The owner was really helpful and went well beyond what I expected. My room was in a perfect spot for my needs, near hospitals, with good transport into the city centre. The bathroom was spotless, the place was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. There’s no Wi-Fi, but mobile reception and connectivity were great.

The owner kindly helped us with a set of keys when ours gave us trouble. We’d booked a double room, but it wasn’t at the listed address; it was a block farther along, tucked into a quiet street corner. The room was basic and functional, with no Wi-Fi. The location isn’t handy for visiting Madrid, though Chamartin Station is a short bus ride away. Nothing else in particular to mention.

I knew not to expect luxury, and the room matched that expectation. The price was the problem: even allowing for the public holiday, 50 euros, or 25 per person, felt completely out of proportion for an old, smelly room without Wi-Fi.

I wouldn’t choose this place again. At 57 euros for the room and another 30 for a taxi, it was expensive, especially since the listing said 7 km but it turned out to be 12. For 87 euros, I think you can find somewhere nicer and closer to the city centre. When I arrived at 18:30, a woman asked me to wait while she cleaned the room. Then she walked me about 1 km with my luggage to get there. They seem to have several cheaply rented apartments turned into a strange sort of hotel.
