Pil Pil Hostel

We booked a single room for two people for three nights, and had a lot of problems. There was no WiFi in our room, only at reception, which was hard to believe with 2020 nearly here. The bed was about 1.3m wide, too small for two, and it was unstable and noisy whenever I turned over. We were woken by it several times every night. The hot water only lasted around five minutes, so we ended up taking cold showers all three nights. Sound insulation was really poor: we could hear people in nearby rooms using the toilet or showering, and our room faced a very noisy road. We were woken several times each night. The receptionist wasn't very friendly or helpful either.

It was very cheap and clean, with a really good location, which is all you need. The receptionists were kind, and there are little lockers with keys for important things, about the size of a hand luggage suitcase.

The staff were nice and professional, and the location is convenient for lots of restaurants and supermarkets. But the WiFi wasn't available in my room or even outside it on the second floor, despite being advertised. My roommates were inconsiderate. They kept talking in the room past midnight, and another person woke us early by talking on her phone. The room door also couldn't be locked, so even people who didn't sleep there could enter. One roommate said she had lost a pair of gym clothes.

The hostel is conveniently close to the metro, and the area is quiet. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially Evana and Janet, who were my favorites. Cleanliness was okay, but some rooms smell bad and the air conditioning issue needs to be fixed.
