Relais & Châteaux Hotel Orfila

The staff always go out of their way to make the stay better, and everything feels exquisite. Relais & Châteaux Orfila is the most beautiful, elegant hotel. The rooms are divine, each with its own style and perfect decor, and the amenities are fabulous. The champagne is cold, which I love. No faults from me. I stayed in October and again in January, and I’ll be back. Adore Orfila.

Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent, though dinner didn’t live up to the high standard set by the rest of the hotel. The property is beautiful, and the reception and restaurant staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Having stayed at several Relais hotels, I thought this one had a lovely mix of comfort and friendliness. We really enjoyed the stay, and parking on the road outside was convenient.

The room was so quiet and the bed so comfortable that I slept perfectly. We also arrived to find flowers, chocolate cookies, and a really good bottle of Rioja waiting for us. Hotel Orfila gave us exactly the comfortable, relaxing stay we wanted in Madrid, and everything else was as expected. I’d choose it again next time I’m in the city.

The quiet street made it feel like a little retreat, even though Madrid was just a short walk away. Our room was spacious and elegant, with fresh fruit that was out of this world. The whole place blends old-fashioned charm with thoughtful modern care, and Bruce at the front desk made our family feel especially welcome. Traveling while pregnant with three young kids can be a lot, but the team anticipated what we needed. The children got goody bags and snacks, and were thrilled to find chocolates in the room. An extra bed and cot were already set up, and my son was given a stuffed animal he still hasn’t let go of. Those gestures felt personal, not just generous. We’ll absolutely come back and recommend Hotel Orfila, especially to families with children.
