We came with a group of friends and booked 18 rooms for three nights over the weekend. We’d stayed at this hotel before, and at NH Collection too, but this will be our last time. Adios NH. The receptionist’s welcome and behavior were the worst I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. We asked simple questions and kept getting negative answers with a very bad attitude. Their body language was awful too. I had to escalate the matter just to be treated with respect and listened to when I asked for a direct cancellation.

The room and hallways were a letdown. There were stains on the ceiling and bathtub, large gouges in the doors, dirty hallway carpets, and walls that needed fresh paint. The AC on my floor broke, and at night a strong kitchen or food smell got into my room. This didn’t feel up to NH Hotel chain standards, and I was surprised by what I saw and experienced. The location is right in the heart of Salamanca, a non-touristy area where locals shop and eat. Puerta de Sol is only about a 10-minute cab ride away. Staff service was great from check-in through breakfast. Ledys and Zharick were lovely and gave us wonderful service each morning.

I had a great five-night stay, with a good location and great service throughout. Special thanks to Carlota, Elena, and Adam at the front office. I’d definitely return and highly recommend it.
