The bed was awful for my back. I couldn’t sleep because of the back and neck pain, had to cut my daily activities short, and couldn’t walk more than a mile before the pain was too much. I even had to find a physiotherapy clinic for treatment. The breakfast was the best part. There was a wide choice of meats, pastries, hot drinks, and traditional Spanish food, including my favorite, tortilla de patatas. They also had churros and the long donuts you see in Chinese bakeries. The two women serving breakfast were the best, working hard to keep the food stocked. The staff service was excellent too. I had trouble paying for my booking while outside Spain, and they let me reserve without paying. When the kitchen didn’t have soup bowls, a staff member found me bowls the next day. My room was quiet, but the kitchen was so sparsely equipped that I could only boil water and make ramen. There were no knives, chopping board, can opener, or screw driver, just one big stick pot. The fridge was tiny, and the freezer only fit ice trays and maybe one bag of frozen food. It’s better set up for business travelers who want a small kitchen. They also didn’t change the bed linens during my 7-night stay. I can understand not changing sheets during a 4-night visit, but I stayed for 7 nights.

Our room faced the interior courtyard, so it was very quiet, and it had everything we needed, including a kitchen we didn’t use, which was part of the room rate. The location was perfect for a short weekend in Madrid with my son, near Plaza Espana and the metro. Breakfast had a good, sufficient selection, and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. For anyone disappointed by the choices, I’d suggest pacing yourself instead of eating too much on the first day. You don’t get a buffet like this every day at home, so spread it across your stay.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean, and the place felt very quiet despite being only a short walk from Plaza Espana and Gran Via. We really enjoyed staying at Suites Viena Plaza.

We slept well because it was so quiet. The suites were very clean and worked well for our family, with good breakfast choices too. The location was excellent, and it felt worth every penny.

The staff are what made our stay memorable. Paco was at reception in the mornings, and Anna in the evenings. Anna and Danni were also working hard at breakfast and were always ready to help. The lovely woman who cleaned our room on the fifth floor every day deserves thanks too. I hope upper management recognizes them. My wife Maggie and I visited Madrid Spain from July 23/25 until July 31/25, after our daughter highly recommended a trip there two months earlier. We had a fabulous time, and the city was spectacular. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Mardrid. Can't wait to return! Thank you, Paul and Maggie
