Hotel Urban, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World

Petri and Lili at reception, along with the rest of the team, were consistently friendly and helpful. We’d definitely like to stay again. We were there for three nights in April 2026, and with gold honor, we were lucky to get an upgraded junior suite at Hotel Urban. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was a favorite, with lots of Spanish hams and cheese. The location was amazing too, and our main tourist spots were within walking distance. Thank you, team!

The service was exceptional from the front desk, concierge, bell staff, and bar, and it was good value for the money. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed, though the furniture, floors, and tiles show wear. There’s also a definite late 90s feel, with lots of dark wood, glass, and chrome. Urban was a great stay for us, but we did notice some frayed edges.

The moment you walk in, the staff make you feel welcome. I loved the atmosphere, with a modern city feel that’s still cozy. There’s also CEBO, a Michelin star restaurant in the hotel, which you must try. Can’t wait to come back to Madrid!

The staff made this an enjoyable stay, especially the doormen, who were the best. We also loved the fun candy bar at reception, the tasty chocolate left during turn-down, and the room's pleasant feel. The shower pressure was great, too. The location was a real plus, with shops, restaurants, and attractions all easy to reach on foot. The room itself had a couple of flaws: the hardwood floor was quite scraped up and one couch arm was broken. We didn't bring those up while we were there, just noticed them. For a hotel listed as five stars, it came across more like a solid four. I'd stay again, though I'd be curious to see the other rooms.
