Casa del Ocejón

We stayed with friends and felt at home straight away. The place has the comforts you need, a fireplace, and lovely spaces indoors and out. It's a modern house that still keeps the charm of the local architecture, with contemporary decor that works really well. Our host was warm and attentive. A great rental in a peaceful spot for enjoying the area's nature, history, and food.

Mount Ocejón is right in front of the house, so it's a great climb for anyone who likes running or hiking. The scenery is beautiful, and we even had the chance to see wildlife in its natural habitat. We also recommend the waterfall at Valverde de los Arroyos. We spent four magical days in this cozy place tucked into the mountains, relaxing by the fireplace and in the garden. The weather meant we couldn't use the pool, but Juan Manuel, the owner, gave us some really good ideas for things to do and see nearby.

The location is good, and the house is well equipped, but we expected a lot more for the price. We were told we couldn't shower on the first day, then had to share the pool with the neighbors, and were later told the jacuzzi wasn't working. The owner also said we'd get a discount for not using one room, but then acted as if that had never been mentioned, so we paid full price. The house itself is nice, but the service didn't match the cost. I wouldn't recommend it.

Juan Manuel and Ana were so kind and helpful. The house was amazing, and the village is lovely too. We had a great time there and would definitely recommend it.
