Apartamentos El Marqués

Apartments el Marques, Malaga Alberto had thoughtfully provided what we needed to settle in, from 1.5 litre bottled water and a ceramic pitcher for cooling boiled water to a sink cleaning kit, robes, slippers, and an ironing board. The place was very clean, bright with natural light, and the mattress, pillows, and quilt were comfortable. We felt warmly welcomed as soon as we came in. The airport transfer dropped us almost at the unit door, and the instructions for getting the key were clear and easy. There was only one unit on each floor, so we had no next-door neighbours. Though it was right in the city centre and close to almost everything, it was surprisingly quiet, even during the Palm Sundays (Semana Santa) parade/procession.

The location was great, but the host's customer service was poor. We were told parking was included, but the pass didn't work, so we paid more than expected. It took over an hour to sort out in the parking garage, and the delay made us late for our activities in Granada. The host didn't deal with the problem quickly enough or appropriately. There was no hand soap at any sink, not enough towels for a three-night stay, and the bathroom mat wasn't adequate.

We had to cancel a non-refundable booking because a health emergency put my partner in hospital. Ana was understanding and gave us a full refund. Thank you.

In a good location, and it felt very safe. Really nice.
