AYZ Elcano - Auto check-in property

From the moment I arrived, there was a strong, unpleasant damp smell. The room felt wet and sticky, wasn't properly cleaned, and had moist walls with signs of mold in some corners. There was no working air conditioner, fridge, or safe, and no staff around to help. I felt alone in a hot, damp, uncomfortable space. Noise from other guests went on constantly and was impossible to ignore. Many seemed to be long-term residents, and at all hours I felt trapped in the middle of someone else's private life. I felt unsafe and deeply uncomfortable. By the second night, I was just waiting to leave. My rest was completely ruined, so I checked out four days early. This was one of the worst places I've stayed, and calling it a hotel feels misleading. I can't recommend it to anyone looking for peace, comfort, or basic hospitality.

Without a CREDIT card, you can't use your room at all. The online customer support, though, is very helpful.

The room was filthy and mouldy, nothing like the photos. Harsh, cold ceiling lights were the only lighting, and the switches beside the bed just turned those on. There was one roll of toilet paper for two people over ten days, and nobody cleaned the room. Mould was visible in several corners. The toilet seemed clogged from the beginning and barely flushed, despite signs threatening a 150 euro fine for clogging it. One sign even said "don't flush paper paper," which is a poor translation when you're warning guests about fines. Sleep was impossible. Both nights, around 1 a.m., water crashed onto the floor just outside our window, as if several buckets were being dumped there. We could also hear the neighbors' toilet and showers, and conversations through the paper-thin walls. The door felt just as flimsy, and its lock plate was loose. I was certain a hard shoulder push from outside could break it, maybe even leaning on it too hard. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious this 'hotel' was doing the bare minimum. It felt unsafe, dirty, and claustrophobic. When we tried to contact them or complain, we got chatbots and automated replies. Their best answer was "you chose this room," and now they've stopped answering altogether. This is not a hotel, it's an ai generated prison cell doing just enough to qualify as one.

For a night or two, this is a great deal: the beach is only 100 meters away, and our compact room was very clean. I was on the ground floor by a busy road, but the noise wasn't too bad, and I never heard other guests. Parking was tough on a busy Sunday.
