Debambu Apartments

We paid €427.68 for two nights, and I’d tell people to avoid this place. The washing machine didn’t work, the jacuzzi had problems, and the receptionist told us to wash our clothes elsewhere at our own expense. If the room has broken equipment, it shouldn’t be sold as if everything works. After we got back from shopping, I was shocked and very disappointed by the state of the floor. I emailed them on 4 January and still haven’t had a reply. This felt like a scam.

Everything we needed was in the apartment, including an iron, kettle, toaster, microwave, hair dryer, fridge freezer, coffee machine and hob. The rooms had lovely air conditioning, and the staff at reception were kind and helpful. The reception is around the corner from the apartment, so it was easy to find, and check-in was simple. There’s plenty of space for luggage and large cases, though the small lockers cost €2. Lidl and the train station are about a 10-minute walk away. The central location made it easy to walk everywhere, but nights and early mornings stayed quiet. The only letdown was the mattresses, which weren’t very comfortable. We still had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

Our apartment was the only one that lost power, and the outage lasted more than 16 hours. We had no lights, fridge, phone charging or AC, and the food we’d left in the fridge, including cheese, spoiled. We were told to wait until the next day because nobody was available onsite to fix it, which was unacceptable. The hotel said in writing that we’d get a full refund, then directed us to Expedia. They’ve ignored our refund requests since, and Expedia may cancel the claim because the hotel hasn’t responded. This was a serious failure of service and responsibility, and we’ll be escalating it. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Antonio and the reception team were friendly, efficient, and especially helpful when I needed a lost item sent back to the UK. The apartment was spotless, with a kitchen and bathroom stocked with what we needed, and the price for our January night was great. It’s close to local amenities and an easy walk from the train station. We really enjoyed our night in the one-bedroom apartment and hope to come back.
