Hotel Don Paco

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was adequate, though the coffee wasn't very good. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but its window faced an interior corridor, so it felt shut in and smelled a little musty. Noise started early with housekeeping, then some kind of building work began around 9.45am.

I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you make a point of requesting a room with a normal outside-facing window. I spent two nights in one that faced the inner corridor, and it felt depressing with not enough air. Apparently the hotel has a lot of rooms like that.

We got good value for the price at Hotel Don Paco, and my spouse and I would stay there again when we come back to Málaga. The location meant we never needed a taxi, bus, or other transport while exploring the center. The old town and newer sights were walkable, and there were plenty of shops, restaurants, supermarkets and shopping malls nearby, including an affordable grocery store in a shopping center close by. Hotel staff were cheerful and friendly, and spoke English very well. Housekeeping came on time, so it was nice to return to a clean room. Traffic could be busy at night, but we still slept well. The air conditioning was very effective and easy to adjust. Thanks, Hotel Don Paco.

We were there for just one night, and it worked out fine for our very early trip to the airport. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the main train station. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly. Our room and bathroom were spacious. The furniture looked a bit dated and the bed could've been more comfortable, but we had no other issues.
