After walking around the nearby parks on a sunny day, we stopped in for a meal. The view across Málaga bay was panoramic, the team were very friendly, and the plato de los montes is well worth ordering!

I found far too many hairs on the bed sheets, and they weren’t clean. I had to ask reception to bring me a fresh set. Cleanliness clearly isn’t a priority at this hotel.

The place was spotlessly clean, but the so-called restaurant was more like a canteen, with just three choices to scoop out of a hot stainless steel tub. There were ants everywhere, and the dogs barked day and night.

It feels more like a family-run hotel. There’s a small restaurant and shop, the towels were changed every day, and they provide free bottled water. Nice view of the city from up top.

It’s too far from the city, and the hotel staff don’t speak English at all. Noise from the check-in desk kept disturbing our sleep, especially the phone ringing all night.
