Livemalaga Centro Suites

We stayed for a week in early November -21 in this very nice apartment near Málaga city. The beds were comfortable, and our room faced the courtyard, so it was quiet and peaceful. But it wasn't a non-smoking room as promised. Previous guests had smoked inside, and we had to sleep with the windows open at night. Had the room been smoke-free as described, I'd have given it at least four stars.

The apartment was central, but we visit Malaga regularly and won't stay here again. It was far too expensive for what you get, and we've had much better apartments, though they weren't available when we booked. There was a terrible bathroom smell, possibly from the drains, and the shower went cold if you weren't quick. The kitchen bin wasn't emptied during our stay and there was no cleaning service. Using Covid as an excuse has gone too far, especially when these aren't cheap apartments. The price should be much lower if cleaning isn't provided. We were given just one bath towel and one hand towel each for the whole week, which is ridiculous. We had to ask for more halfway through, and the towels were paper-thin and need replacing. Cutlery was also scarce, with maybe two teaspoons in a two-bedroom apartment. The upstairs terrace furniture was extremely uncomfortable, and there were no mirrors at the dressing tables, so you had to stand in the bathroom to do your hair.

Please don't book with this company. Last year they kept our €300 deposit and gave us the runaround when we tried to get it back. That's a lot of money. If you might need to cancel, save yourself the hassle and book somewhere else. They already have your bank details and email from the transaction, so don't be taken in by their stalling. We ended up out of pocket by €300. I could only give one star in order to post this, but they don't deserve it.

The apartment is right in the city center, with all the main sights only a few minutes away on foot. Shops are just outside, and there's a great cafe across the road. The beach takes about 10 minutes to walk to, or just a few minutes by scooter. The place is modern and has what you need for a short stay.
