Malaga Picasso

We've just come back from our second wonderful visit, this time for ten nights, and I'm already thinking about returning in 2026. Hotel Malaga Picasso made the stay enjoyable again. I especially liked the peaceful atmosphere, local restaurants and cafes, quiet beaches used by locals, nearby bus route, lovely gardens, and the cold pool and jacuzzi. The family and staff are always cheerful and happy to help, and everything is clean and tidy. Breakfast is a great buffet, and Vanessa's excellent massages were a welcome treat. The nearby National Park is lovely for walks and bird-watching. Malaga's historic area and the Alcazaba are worth seeing too, with the bus fare only €1.40.

A calm, beautiful neighbourhood, lovely hotel, and prices that felt very fair. The service was amazing. I'd particularly recommend a massage with Vanessa, she's a very skilled therapist. Best deep-tissue massage I've ever had.

The staff were fantastic and always accommodating, with someone at reception ready to welcome you. Our room had everything we needed, and the price was unbelievable for what was included. The pool is big, and there's a jacuzzi and plenty of places to sit outside, which I'd recommend even in winter. You can order snacks like tapas and pizza from a small menu until 10 PM. It's about a ten-minute drive from the airport. I paid 25 euros for a taxi, though booking an uber should be around 14 euros. The nearest beach is an uncrowded five-minute walk away, with local shops and places to eat nearby. Bring your own toiletries, as the ones supplied are limited, and be careful on the slippery bathroom floor since there's no bath or shower mat. The menu also has fried chips, cheese and meats, plus Paella if you want something more substantial. It's okay, but for fine Spanish cuisine, you'd be better off eating elsewhere. There are plenty of soft drinks, hot drinks and alcoholic options. The in-room minibar isn't free, though the prices are low. During the day you can hear planes, and in the evenings other guests can make noise. A few times I woke to loud talking and banging, but that wouldn't stop me from staying again.

The staff were very friendly, and the grounds and pool were kept in good shape. The location suited our needs. Our room was okay, but the bed was very uncomfortable, and breakfast was pretty ordinary.
