Malaga Urban Rooms

The noise from the bars and nightclub next door was unbearable after midnight, and went on until 5 or 6 in the morning. It was the worst night's sleep I've ever had. Avoid this place.

We love Malaga and have stayed at urban Rooms most years, but the last two visits have been very disappointing. The noise is bad, though we managed with earplugs. This year the room was dirty: sand and dust on the floor, and doors that looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in ages. The bedding was poor, there weren't enough towels, and there was just one hanger and no bath mat. It's very basic and needs a lot of maintenance. Nothing seems to work. We paid similar prices elsewhere and got much more, so I'd tell people not to waste their money here. I even contacted them about the problems and heard nothing back. We'd been in regular contact before booking, so that felt rude. We won't be coming back.

The apartment was spotless, bigger than most I've seen in Malaga, and had everything we needed. It's in an amazing spot, close to everything, and the price was great. Booking directly was easy too: Jose replied really well and sent the confirmation and instructions quickly. We'll return. Thanks xx

At 800 euros a month, this apartment is a poor deal. The area is so loud that bars staying open until 3 or 4 a.m. make sleep impossible, and people on the balcony were shouting at 3 in the morning. Inside, the air conditioning, elevator, and blinds were broken. The Wi-Fi and TV were useless, everything was dirty, and the appliances were old. The owners only came on the first day to collect the rent, then were unresponsive and left everything to the poor cleaning lady. They also lie about the apartment's condition. When someone moves out, they're so cheap they move things from one apartment to another. This isn't a long-term rental. There are much better places to stay, especially now that rents have gone down. Buyer beware!
