Nordik Rooms

We found the flat had been turned into hostel-style accommodation, with four rooms and two tiny bathrooms shared between everyone. They seem to have been made by splitting what was originally one large bathroom. There’s no sound insulation, so you hear whatever is happening in the rooms and bathrooms throughout the flat. The listing didn’t say the bathrooms were shared when we booked. That isn’t fair to guests, or to other hotels that clearly state this in their descriptions. Showers aren’t allowed after 10:00 pm, so people queue up in the morning. After three showers, the water is cold. There’s no baggage drop either. It was overpriced.

We arrived to find there was no remote for the air conditioning. When we messaged the next day, you said it was broken and the remote had been removed, and that someone would come at 4:30 to fix it. We waited until 6:00 PM for the technician. He worked on it and said it was fixed, but when we switched it on, water poured out and soaked the whole room. We messaged right away and were told someone would come Sunday, but nobody contacted us all day. Today we were told it wouldn’t be until Monday. A technician finally came, but couldn’t find the problem either. We’re on a very busy street and had to keep everything closed to sleep. I find it strange that we weren’t told ahead of time, since you already knew it was broken. We paid for air conditioning, so if it isn’t available I’d at least expect some compensation, not a rude reply and our holiday time wasted waiting for repairs. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you want to be stuck in an overheated room.

The room and apartment were nicely furnished, but the noise made it impossible to sleep. Our room shares a wall with a communal toilet, and flushing and showering are really loud. Since it’s shared accommodation, people shower whenever they like, including at 6am. It feels like sleeping beside a public restroom.

A cute, inexpensive place to stay in Malaga, with consistently good cleaning and service. We were a little disappointed that our room didn’t have the balcony we expected from the booking, and the door closing mechanism was veeeery loud. Thanks for a great trip! :)
