Plaza Merced Teatro Romano Balcón

There were just three little ants in the bathroom 😅 (Room 12), but I still enjoyed my stay and would consider returning. The location is great for exploring the historic and tourist areas on a short visit, and the staff were welcoming and kind. My room was clean and nicely decorated. The mattress felt a bit too firm for me, and I wished it had a topper. The AC was very strong even on its lowest setting. Streetlights and some noise made it hard to sleep, and I didn't see the white roller blind tucked between the windows until morning because it blended into the wall. There were no blackout curtains.

A decent budget option if you're after a central location at a great price. It seems quiet from outside, but the doors have no insulation, so hallway sounds carry straight into the room. The bed is hard and the pillows are flat.

Right in the heart of historic Málaga, with fresh, clean rooms. My only complaint is the coffee setup for a double room: one sachet of Nescafé, one decaf sachet, and just one sachet of milk. I can't see the logic!

I was worried it might get noisy in the late evening or at night, but the window's extra soundproofing blocked everything out, even with people sitting at the bar below. The location is excellent and it was really quiet. I'll be back in August.
