My daughter and I were both very happy here, even with 31 years between us: I’m 62 and she’s 31. It’s relaxed, casual accommodation, and an easy walk into town. Everything felt clean and secure. The shared spaces are generous, with a lounge, kitchen, two or three terraces, and even a washing machine.

The beach is about 3km away, and it’s a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre, which suited us fine. We stayed in a downstairs apartment with its own patio and an outdoor grill. It was a bit dark inside, though we didn’t spend much time there. The woman who welcomed us didn’t speak English, but we managed to understand each other.

There’s a Basic Fit nearby, along with grocery shops and inexpensive places for lunch. The city center is also an easy walk away. My single room had the things I needed, including a comfortable bed, closet, TV, and towels, with the bathroom right next to it. There’s also a kitchen with what you need to cook, plus a living room to relax in.

The bed was the only thing I liked about the accommodation. It felt old, and the place was cold in winter with limited heating. For the price, it wasn’t worth it. We were told checkout was at 11:00. We left our room on time and waited briefly in the common area for our flight. Nobody had told us that guests couldn’t use that space after checkout. I calmly explained to the owner that we hadn’t known we couldn’t stay there. He came in yelling, visibly angry and extremely rude. He said we were “not his guests anymore” and had to leave immediately, speaking to us in a humiliating, hostile way. We said we could go right away, but asked him not to speak so aggressively. He just got louder, pointed at us, repeated “this is my house,” and said it was our job to ask permission. If there are rules like that, they need to be communicated clearly. This whole exchange was unacceptable and unprofessional. The owner’s behavior ruined what should have been a simple stay and left us stressed. On its own, it’s reason enough for me to say avoid this place if you want basic respect and peace of mind while traveling.
