Suncity Atico La Merced

We ended up walking everywhere, with the beach about 20 minutes away and the old town's busy streets only 5-10 minutes off. There's also a supermarket a couple of minutes away, and the apartment is near plaza de la Merced. The flat was at the back of the building on a quiet one-way street, so with the shutters closed I slept really well, even as a light sleeper. The bed had a memory foam mattress. Entry instructions came remotely through WhatsApp / Air bnb, with one code for the main door and another for flat 1B. We had an early flight and they kindly let us in at 1 p.m. instead of 2. The lounge and kitchen share a table, chairs, a settee, and TV. The small kitchen had a toaster, microwave, and kettle, plus washing-up liquid, sponges, a tea towel, and a few washing machine tablets in the bathroom. There was a two-ring electric hob but no oven. The bathroom had a shower, and the double bedroom had AC, a fan, and a small beach seat. We used the apartment's sun umbrellas at the beach, which were great. The train station is around a 30-minute walk away. I highly recommend this apartment.

Picasso's house is just a few steps away, and the place was clean and well located.

The location was excellent, right in the center, and otherwise the apartment was fine. We were on the ground floor, though, and the terrace wasn't what the photo suggested. It was actually a small patio with pigeons overhead.

You're right by L'abadi pastry shop in the Merced market, where they serve some great breakfasts. The spot is very central.
