The apartment itself was fine, but I booked the Superior Apartment in the Caleta Homes block because it was listed as sound-proofed. It wasn’t, and they’ve since removed that description. There’s an Italian restaurant below the bedroom, and we could constantly hear chairs scraping, presumably while they mopped the floors, as well as noise from the surrounding streets. It was holiday time, so the noise may have been worse than usual, but anyone concerned about noise should know. When I contacted Caleta to explain my disappointment, they weren’t sympathetic or helpful. They eventually offered another apartment, which was quieter, but its interior wasn’t as good as the one we’d originally booked. I won’t use this company again.

The apartment itself was clean and roomy, with a separate bedroom, a living area with a large TV, a spacious bathroom, and a kitchen stocked with the utensils we needed. The location was a real plus too: we could walk to shops, cafés, restaurants, museums, public transport, and the beach. We were four, two adults and two teenagers, and stayed for 12 days. Privacy was difficult. Both bedroom and living room windows faced a very narrow street, with neighboring windows less than 1.5 meters away. There were shutters but no curtains, so we had to choose between closing them and losing natural light or leaving them open with no privacy. The only AC was in the living room, so the bedroom became quite hot at night. Reception gave us a fan, which helped a little. The sofa bed was the worst we've ever slept on. It creaked with every small movement, and we slept badly throughout the stay. The apartment was cleaned only once in 12 days. We expected daily cleaning, as in many hotels, and hadn't seen this clearly explained when booking. Getting the keys was also a hassle after a long trip. Only once we arrived did we receive an email saying we had to collect them from an office a 25-minute walk away. I later noticed that detail in tiny text on one of the apartment photos on the booking page. It should have been much clearer. The location and cleanliness were highlights, but these issues made the stay less enjoyable than we'd expected.

We enjoyed staying here, and the top apartment was clean, with towels changed and the room cleaned during our visit. The bed at the back was a large queen, and there was a nice, tucked-away terrace. We could smell a nearby pizza oven extractor out there. The central location is great. The apartment was more average than boutique, though. The living room felt bare, with no artwork, and a small street-facing window let in noise from the Italian restaurant below until around 3am. The bathroom was average-sized, the shower had good hot water, and the tiles looked like they'd been painted over to freshen them up. The kitchen was basic too, with a worn little hob and older cupboards, although it was clean. In this building, the top apartments are more basic but a little quieter. The lower ones are more boutique, though much noisier because they face a busy restaurant street.

Flat 2D was easy to manage, and the team was reachable on WhatsApp. Picking up the keys was straightforward for us, and the instructions were given when we booked. The building has been renovated nicely and has a lift. The windows look onto an alley, which seems normal for a city like this. Inside, the apartment was clean and well equipped. The bed was large and comfortable, and the sofa bed was good enough. There were plenty of towels, sheets, and soap, plus a big bathroom with very good water pressure. We could hear the vent mentioned in other reviews, but in 2D it wasn't bad and didn't interrupt our sleep.

The WhatsApp communication was quick and useful for questions about check-in and check-out, and the staff were helpful. Prices seemed reasonable. The only real hassle was collecting the keys at the office, about a 15-minute walk away. Remote entry would make that easier. The deposit also takes a while to come back, though the website explains this in advance. We found the apartment spacious and very pleasant for a couple. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the shower had excellent temperature and pressure. The old town is easy to explore on foot, with plenty of good restaurants within 15 minutes. Weekend street noise can carry into the early hours, but it was peaceful during the week. WiFi was fine for light use, though two people streaming strained the bandwidth.
