Villa Jarama Lujo

We loved the quiet setting, and the owners were so nice. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had an incredible sea view. There’s a shared kitchen with a fridge, and a large supermarket is only five minutes away. It’s convenient for a day trip to Nerja or a visit to central Malaga. We’d definitely return.

For a low-cost stay, this place has a lot going for it. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the house is quiet with a very nice view. It’s about 10 minutes by car from central Malaga, while the local beach, 800m or a 10-minute walk away, has good restaurants. Just be ready for a steep walk down. The rooms are tiny and worn, and the shared toilets are in rough shape too. Cleanliness might pass by Spanish standards, but by German standards it felt kind of dirty. Still, it’s a good budget alternative to expensive hotels, and you get the feeling of living among locals.

Getting into the city center takes about 10 minutes by bus, and the beach is a 10-minute walk away. It’s a great base for visiting Malaga. With kids, though, I’d only recommend it if you’re renting a car for the whole trip or planning to use taxis.

The owners are really kind and friendly, and the place itself is beautiful for a vacation. The rooms are okay, though quite dated. All in all, 👍🏻.
