Mallorca Boutique Hotel

The only real plus was being close to the train station. Everything else left us feeling exhausted, frustrated, and cheated. We paid for what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday and instead it felt like staying in a neglected, cheap guesthouse. Our journey there was a mess. We kept being told at the airport that someone would pick us up soon, and waited for hours, but nobody came. We had to make our own way. The train kept heading toward the beach area and was delayed or didn't show up, turning a trip that should have taken 3 hours into one of more than 12. We were meant to stay at one of the central branches, but were sent to Mallorca Boutique Hotel in Malgrat de Mar without an explanation. After arriving, we found a room with two beds for three people. When we complained, they just told us to push the beds together and share, which was unbearable in 30-degree heat. Reception closed at 7 PM, leaving us on our own in the evenings, even if we needed help or had an emergency. We felt abandoned. Esperanza, described as the “soul of the hotel,” was hardly around, and the attitude we encountered was cold and indifferent. Breakfast was tasteless and disappointing, with stale bread, little choice, and nothing fresh or local like the “lovingly prepared Spanish specialties” advertised. There was no comfort, proper service, or professionalism. The glowing online reviews are misleading, and our stay was nothing like what we'd been promised. I would not recommend spending your holiday or money here.
