AluaSun Cala Antena – All Inclusive

What stood out most was how kind and helpful every member of staff was, from the receptionist and cleaner to the bartender and chef. They all did their jobs perfectly. We visited at the end of the season in September and had a wonderful holiday. Our room was clean and pleasant, the all-inclusive food was excellent, and the bar and evening entertainment were great. There’s a small beach five minutes from the hotel, plus two lovely larger beaches about a 15-minute walk away. The area around the hotel is very nice. Many thanks to the whole staff for a wonderful vacation!

The hotel is a little dated and could use renovation, but the staff more than made up for that. Lidia deserves a special mention for her smile, kindness, and warm manner, which made the atmosphere feel special. She and the rest of the team made us feel very welcome. We also enjoyed the fun, engaging, well-organized evening entertainment. We had a very pleasant stay at AluaSun Cala Antena. The food was delicious, with lots of variety and good quality. We’d love to come back, especially once some updates have been made.

The beach was lovely and well worth the walk, and the local pubs had friendly staff too. We enjoyed the great sea view, the good food selection, and the entertainment. It might not be ideal for children, though. The room was fresh and clean, but doors banging could make it noisy at times. Staff were very friendly. One thing I didn’t like was losing our wristbands at the 12 o’clock checkout. Our flight wasn’t until 6.30 that evening, so it was a long wait without being able to have a drink or something to eat. I think guests should still be allowed food and drinks after checkout, and they need to change that rule. I would come back.

For a beach break it’s all right, though getting to the beach takes a bit of a hike. The walk along the front has stunning views. Shops and bars in the town centre are a short stroll away, and it’s easy to catch a bus to other towns and villages. We also had a good day out at the Caves of Drach and Porto cristo. The hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food was good. Good value for a 3 star stay.
