We stayed in the cheaper rooms in the annex behind the hotel, across a narrow lane. They were small, but very clean, with comfortable beds. Felipe sits right on the seafront and has an old-fashioned, opulent feel. There’s a lovely terrace restaurant and cafe overlooking the harbour, plus a tiny outdoor pool, gym, sauna, steam room, and massage. The town is a picture-postcard fishing village, with a supermarket and lots of restaurants, including a Chinese one. It doesn’t have the mass-tourism feel of places further up the coast.

I’m a solo traveler, and this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, everything was immaculately clean, and the rooms were beautiful. The food was excellent, and the beach is just across from the hotel. I’ll definitely return. Thank you, Karen. XX

The sea-view room was wonderful, and the beach is only a one-minute walk away. We had an amazing stay, and breakfast was great. The room was fine, though the bathroom could use some TLC. We’ll definitely come back.

Salva the waiter deserves a special mention. He was genuinely lovely, nothing was too much trouble, and he really stood out. The hours the staff put in in that heat are crazy, and he was amazing. We had a sea view and would highly recommend it. The rooms were lovely, kept cool, and cleaned to a high standard every day. Coffee and tea were replenished daily, and the noise didn’t come through. The pool is a little small, but the sea is only two minutes away and lovely. You can hire two sunbeds for 16 euros a day. We paid 12 euros for breakfast, and it was lovely and well worth it. We made the mistake of eating at a cafe one day and got ripped off, 27 euros for two pastries and a coffee for breakfast. The gym is lovely too. I was sad to leave and felt super relaxed. Great hotel in a stunning town, highly highly recommend.

The view from the room was amazing, and it was very clean. But the air conditioning didn’t work. I checked with other guests and theirs wasn’t working either. Management said they had switched off the central system for every room, which didn’t make sense to me since each room has its own controls. Guests should be able to set their own comfort level.
