Urbi Apartments

The apartment had plenty of space, with two single beds and a sofa bed on the main floor, plus a double and a single bed upstairs. The kitchenette was tiny, but that wasn't a problem, and there was a fridge and microwave. In the kitchen, though, there was no paper towel and no rack for drying dishes. Cleanliness was average: spider webs in several corners and on the stairs, dust on top of the headboards and stair railings, and the quilts had no covers, which didn't feel hygienic. The air conditioning worked great, with one unit upstairs and another on the main floor. The bathroom was the biggest problem because of a really bad smell. There was a washing machine there, but I didn't try it because of the stink. The building elevator was so loud that I woke up whenever someone used it. Some windows had no curtains, so if you need a dark room to sleep, you couldn't sleep after sunrise. Parking isn't free; they direct you to a lot that costs 14 Euro per day. The location was good, with nice views and grocery stores that were easy to get to.

Very disappointing. The location worked for me personally, and the fridge with freezer, washing machine with dryer, sofa, air conditioner, mattress and microwave with grill option were good. But for my three-week stay, the price was a rip off: I paid over 1500 EUR. It might be OK for a few days, and is cheap compared with other places, but you get what you pay for. I'd only recommend it as a last resort or for a short stay. The apartment needs more maintenance, as the photos show. Most problems would be easy to fix, which makes it seem like there's little willingness to keep the place up. The water heater wasn't working when I arrived; turning it on cut the electricity in the apartment. Maintenance told me the same thing had happened last time, then did another temporary fix by using a different wall socket, as shown in the bathroom photo. Other sockets had problems too. This is a serious issue and a potential hazard that needs proper attention. There were other maintenance issues: the bed frame was badly deformed, the wall inside the wardrobe was detached, and a curtain holder wasn't secured properly. It looked as if they'd tried to fix that one several times, but the way the window works means it keeps happening. If it falls, it could hit someone's head. The wardrobe had just two coat hangers, one per person, leaving 60% of it useless. Some kitchen items were really dirty, and the handles on some pots needed adjusting. The kitchen is well equipped, but should be better prepared before guests arrive. The chairs were uncomfortable, there was only one bedside table, which was actually a dirty coffee table that needed maintenance, and there weren't enough wall sockets. Towels were stained and very old. The bathroom was huge, but the shower was very tiny.

The rooms and bed were nice, but the parking was ridiculous. The WiFi, elevator and TV stopped working, and the staff didn't even notice. Breakfast was served 100 metres away, two corners over, and really wasn't worth the walk. It was lousy.

The room and furniture were very good, and the staff were simpatico. But the WiFi was so bad that it wasn't an option for a business trip. When we showered upstairs, a really bad smell came down to the downstairs area. There was no room service during our stay.
