These Roman ruins are only open three days a week, but they’re a must-see for the fine mosaic floors. To get the full experience, we also visited the other two must-see historic attractions.

The mosaics were stunning and so unusual, and the ruin itself is amazing. Our guide was an archaeologist whose enthusiasm made the visit a real joy. I learned a lot about the history and goals of the project, and there’s still so much left to discover!

An interesting place to see ancient Roman mosaics, and it’s free. There are culinary details and sleepers you shouldn’t miss. Interesting, we recommend it!

The signs explain everything well, and entry is free. I was especially interested in the floor mosaics showing things like kitchen utensils, a subject I don't remember seeing much elsewhere. Some are really well preserved and still in place.

A walkway lets you get right up close to the mosaics, and the signage inside is good. There was also a local guide available to answer questions. It was a surprise to find such a well presented display in this location, and there are a couple of other worthwhile places within walking distance. Check the hours before you go, since it isn't open all day. Well worth a visit.
