Hotel Baviera

The taxi rank right outside came in handy when I needed a cab to a family wedding, and I liked being close to shops, restaurants, and especially the beach. Even arriving at 2am, I found the young man at reception courteous and patient. I really liked my room and its balcony, though the view across the way was of apartments. It was a very nice introduction to Spain 🇪🇸, and I’d consider staying here again if I visit in the future.

The room was modest, but comfy and really clean, and the staff were super nice and inviting. We could walk to the beach, old town, and lots of local restaurants from this perfect location. You can hear people walking around upstairs, though it didn’t affect our mood during the stay.

Being able to check in a couple of hours early was much appreciated. The location is a very short walk from the beach and plenty of good restaurants, and the rooms and service were excellent. I’d gladly stay here again and can wholeheartedly recommend it. One outlet at the desk in our room didn’t seem to work. It didn’t affect our visit, but could be a problem for someone here on business.

The staff at reception were kind enough to invite us to breakfast for free. The hotel is cheap and affordable for today's market, but it has a lot of potential and I wish they would improve it and charge more. We couldn’t get a king-size bed, and I’m not sure they offer one, so sleeping as a couple wasn’t comfortable. The place feels old, maybe from the early 70s, with cracks in the walls and old wooden floors. The small TV was set to Spanish and didn’t meet today’s standards for size or function. There was room for a side table or holder in the bathroom, but nowhere to put toiletries. We also saw and felt flying insects landing on our faces and ears, and couldn’t sleep all night.
