Camping La Buganvilla

There’s a lovely bar and restaurant on site, along with a pool, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The prices are keen too. The site could use work on the driveways and more level pitches. I’d guess it suits caravans and tents better, since you can use a car to get around. Walking to the beach and shops can be tricky.

The pool is a good size and clean, with a bar restaurant overlooking it. Toilets and showers are also clean and spacious. But the site badly needs maintenance. The road surface is shocking, roads are narrow, and some trees need a serious trim or removal. Getting a good pitch seems to be luck, and the electric hookups are often in odd places. You’re told to park and walk around to choose a pitch. Pay attention to the trees and plan your route, especially with a motorhome over 6 meters, even if that means going the wrong way on the so-called one-way system. We stayed three nights out of season and paid just under 30 euro a night with EH. Personally, I wouldn’t pay more than that in high season. For the price we paid, it seemed to be at the very limit of what the site and its condition offer. Everyone has different expectations, of course, and there are good and bad ones. Bring ant powder and vasoline too. We had an ant infestation on day two. Put vasoline around the electric cable by your van connection to stop them climbing into the plug socket area, and make a ring of ant powder around each wheel.

The location worked really well, with only a reasonable walk to the beach, and the night price for our small campervan was very reasonable too. The pool area and gardens were tidy and clean. The restaurant menu is small, but the food was good, and the staff were cheerful 😁. Toilets and showers are older, though very clean. An on-site shop might be useful, but it’s not far to walk for supplies. We had a great stay and will return.

The pool and bathrooms were fine, with a lawn and trees around the pool area. The pitches are so uneven that getting the motorhome level was difficult, and the narrow internal roads, high pavements and tight corners made driving around awkward. There’s a bus stop nearby for town. The restaurant wasn’t always open, so we didn’t try it. Washing machine costs €4. Motorhome, EHU and two people came to €42.
