Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of healthy choices and local dishes, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The hotel has been fully refurbished recently and feels high-end. It’s in a quiet, upscale neighbourhood that feels very safe and well maintained. We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay in a beautiful property, though a few details could be improved. Our early check-in request didn’t prevent a delay, which was frustrating after an early start and traveling with kids. Some room extras cost more than expected, €10 per item and €25 for a tote bag, when we’re used to these being complimentary at five-star hotels. We were also charged €5 for apple juice for the little kids at breakfast. The kids couldn’t get water at reception while we were waiting in the lobby, since it was only available to guests checking in. The concierge desk lady even told them off for daring to have water. That felt unusual, as five-star hotels often offer complimentary lobby water and sometimes fruit or light refreshments. The hotel is peaceful but somewhat isolated, so families with children may need to rely on nearby activities.

The visit to Maison Codage spa was a real treat. I had a deeply relaxing treatment, and the CODAGE products felt amazing on my skin. I fell in love with the brand and the whole spa experience. I was there with friends at Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella by IHG, a beautiful hotel with elegant design, a wonderful atmosphere and lovely attention to detail. Everything felt luxurious and relaxing from the moment we arrived. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy Marbella, highly recommended!

The kids’ club went well beyond what we expected, and the hotel managed to be very child-friendly without taking away from the adults’ experience. The concierge was also exceptional, handling every request in real time with care. It felt as if someone was dedicated to our family. We were a family of five at Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella, and the stay surpassed our expectations. The staff were warm, attentive and sincerely hospitable, more like a family-run boutique hotel than one of the larger “Instagram-style” resorts. The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully equipped. It was the first hotel I’ve stayed at that provided a clothes steamer. Beds were large and comfortable, and the toiletries were excellent. The hotel had a fresh, natural scent that felt clean and calming, not artificial. The pool was noticeably larger than it looked in the photos. We can’t wait to come back.

Dinner at Jara restaurant was a fine dining highlight. The wild seabass was cooked perfectly, and the staff looked after us with class while keeping things welcoming and unpretentious. We finished our anniversary evening at Escondido Rooftop, where the tequila- and mezcal-based signature cocktails were brilliant. We liked them! We chose Kimpton Los Monteros in Marbella for our anniversary, and the hotel set a very high standard, with attention to detail in the well-equipped rooms, convenient Smart TV system, excellent amenities and relaxing atmosphere. It was a fantastic stay and culinary treat, a solid 5/5 for us. Perfect for a luxurious getaway or special occasion. We’ll definitely return.

The food was amazing, and we had great weather throughout our stay. My partner and I were given a room upgrade when we arrived, and it was beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Alejandro, who was always ready to help and share ideas to make our stay even better. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it!
