Golden Mar Menuda

Breakfast was excellent each morning, with lots to choose from, and the hotel had a relaxed boutique feel that fit the Costa Brava perfectly. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Waking to the sound of the water each morning was special, and the staff were welcoming and made things easy throughout our stay. Golden Mar Menuda sits right on the beach, with beautiful views and a short scenic walk to the old town of Tossa de Mar. When we arrived, Ricard was great at helping us sort out the one-way street after we'd driven past the entrance. Tossa de Mar became one of our favorite places in Spain, and this hotel was a big part of our visit. We'd gladly stay again and recommend it.

I loved the new pool area and seating, it was such a lovely place to relax during the day. The buffet breakfast was a real treat with something for everyone, and Sacalma bar and food was lovely for lunch snacks or tapas. We also had some of the best sangria there. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Mar Menuda has a special place in my heart. I came here every year with my parents as a child in the 80s, through the late 90s. A lot has changed, but I was delighted to see the hotel modernized so nicely without losing its atmosphere. It's at the end of Tossa, facing its own beach, away from the busier parts but still an easy walk from everything. I loved walking along the beach into town each day and reliving childhood memories. Thank you to everyone at Golden Mar Menuda for a wonderful stay. Some special places really don't change, or just get better, even after 45 years. I'll definitely be back.

The breakfast had all the usual options, cheeses, meats, bread, pastries, an egg station and drinks. I even started my day with a few glasses of cava. The hotel has won me over, and I'll stay here again next time I'm in Tossa de mar. A big thank you to Jessica at reception for making such a lovely first impression after our long journey. She was exactly the kind of person you'd want to greet you. Toni kept our room spotless and lent us a beach umbrella. Everyone at the hotel was warm and kind, something you don't find at every establishment.

The location felt almost like having a private beach, but the busier parts of town and the sights were still close enough to reach on foot. My wife and I stayed here after our wedding, with extra luggage and quite a few needs. We felt bad asking for so much, but everything was taken care of without hesitation. I can't express how glad we were to have chosen this hotel in the area for our honeymoon. Everyone we met greeted us warmly, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk gave us exceptional information when we checked in. There was also a welcome gift in our room, better than any check-in gift we've received at another hotel.
