Marriott's Marbella Beach Resort

Free guest parking was a real plus for us. The rooms were comfortable, and the facilities worked well for kids and families. It’s a good place, though it’s a bit far from central Marbella. That distance can be nice, but without your own transport it’s less convenient. We rented a car; otherwise, taxis could be a good option.

The suites were spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The resort is lovely and easy to reach from the highway, but the staff are what really stood out. We’ve stayed at plenty of resorts over the years and haven’t had hospitality like this. After we’d left for the airport, I realized I’d forgotten my very expensive ring. We couldn’t turn back, and I was devastated. Several staff members started searching straight away and kept me updated by email. They didn’t find it right away, but continued looking each day. I’d accepted by day four that it was probably gone, then on the fifth day I got an email saying they’d found it. Their honesty, persistence, and care amazed me. Martina Spinetti made sure it was packed and shipped promptly, and sent me the tracking number. From our stay through the days after we left, the service was exceptional. Marriott continues to show integrity and class. A special thank you to Samsahara Bigorre and Martina Spinetti for all their help over those few days. I’d give them more than five stars if I could. We spent three weeks in a three-bedroom apartment overlooking the pool, and having a private laundry room was a big help for a stay that long. There was loads of space for everyone, the apartment was beautifully kept, and the terrace made it even nicer. The on-site supermarket was another convenience. We popped in most mornings for coffee and croissants, and the women working there were so kind that we looked forward to seeing them. It also had ice cream, soda, water, groceries, and other essentials. The resort is in Elviria, east of Marbella. You’ll probably want an Uber to Old Town or Puerto Banús, since those aren’t walkable from here, though there’s plenty to do on the property. The private beach was lovely, and the spa was a nice amenity. We were there over Christmas, and the decorations made the place feel festive and welcoming. I can imagine it’s phenomenal in summer. The people made the stay especially memorable. My husband got a severe case of norovirus and needed medical help quickly. Naomi arranged a doctor right away, then found a physician who could come to our apartment when my husband was too ill to get into a car. Her kindness and quick response helped save our trip, and I won’t forget how supported we felt. This was one of the highlights of our trip through Spain. As a Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Platinum member, I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties, and this was one of my most positive experiences. Thank you to the staff for being warm, professional, and welcoming. We can’t wait to return to Marriott Marbella Beach Resort.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast and one dinner we had at Marriott were fine. My big thing is the room view, though, and that was worth a star less for me. We were on a lower floor looking straight at a construction site where they were rebuilding a fountain. The buildings seemed to face inward toward the center of the property. Who puts a Mediterranean resort in a spot where the rooms don’t face the sea? Marriott, apparently.
