The location is good, the views are great, and the host was friendly. But the apartment didn’t match its description, and too many things were wrong for us to enjoy our stay. The downstairs shower was so small none of us could stand inside and close the door. Upstairs, there was no shower curtain, the ceiling was very low, and a clear window looked out over the city. The toilet seats didn’t fit their toilets, so you had to sit on the inside. Doors wouldn’t close, and the kitchen didn’t have enough equipment for cooking. Its light and vent also didn’t work. The water was cloudy with sediment, the worn storm shutters stuck, and the doorbell was broken. A little work could make this an amazing spot, and proper toilet seats are super cheap. If you only need somewhere to sleep near the beach, it’ll do. If you want to enjoy your stay, maybe keep looking.

Good value for the price. We had two huge balconies with amazing views, and the apartment was modern and well equipped. The private lift was handy too. It was a little cold in winter, but the extra heaters did the job. The owners were lovely and accommodating with our dogs.

The house smelled awful, which is probably why they use air fresheners. The kitchen utensils were very limited, the beds creaked terribly, and Carlota was quite unpleasant when we arrived. It wasn’t like the photos. There was no grass on the terrace, and the en-suite bathroom was tiny, worse than the ones in bars. An old pipe burst and flooded the bathroom, and the ancient shower faucet broke while I was using it. There are no blinds in the master bedroom, so light comes in every morning and makes it impossible to sleep. There are only two small mirrors, both in the bathroom. The train runs between the house and the beach, and you can hear it quite a bit even when things are quiet.
