The villa’s architecture is unique, and the gardens are breathtaking. There’s also a pool and several places to relax around the property. The hotel is clean and chic, with a great restaurant within 50m. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was amazing. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it.

The building is beautiful inside and out, with wonderful gardens and a pool, and it’s in a quiet spot with easy access to the port. The walk back is steep. In most other respects it was excellent, and we’d recommend it, but breakfast let the hotel down: the style and selection weren’t good, and it would be better as a buffet where guests could help themselves. The woman serving breakfast seemed as though she’d rather not be there, which made us feel unwelcome. We stayed two nights here during a 14-day trip with six hotels and the ferry both ways, and these were truly the worst pillows we’ve ever slept on. Such a shame.
