Hospedium Hotel Vittoria Colonna

The staff were kind and friendly, and there's a bar/restaurant connected to the hotel with a few options. The elevator and the nearby supermarket and restaurants make it a convenient stop if you're doing the Camino Madrid. WiFi was non-existent in my room. I tried it in the hallways on three different floors too, with no luck. It really only worked at reception, so keep that in mind if WiFi matters to you.

The village and the surrounding area were so beautiful. We'll definitely come back!

The rooms were modest but adequate, while the renovated common areas and the price made the hotel good value. The only trouble was the heat: the air conditioning was still on the heat pump and hadn't switched to summer mode yet, so we couldn't turn it on and got very hot. Continental breakfast cost €4.50 and included coffee, juice, toast, and some pastries. The staff were efficient and extremely friendly throughout our stay and meals. César deserves a special mention, always ready to help with a smile. We had breakfast in the cafeteria and lunch in the restaurant on a public holiday, choosing the €26 special menu with three starters and three main courses. The scallops, mango with prawns, sirloin, and cod were all excellent. The main courses might have had a little less sauce and a bit more meat and fish, but everything was delicious. The €12 children's menu had pasta and chicken breasts; when the children spotted roast chicken with potatoes from another set menu, we asked and they were allowed to have that instead. Desserts were very good too, especially the custard. A good place to eat and stay.

We found the hotel clean, with a comfortable bed, and it was very well located for the price. The reception staff were very friendly. We didn't try the restaurant because it was closed for holidays, but the receptionist kindly offered to prepare breakfast if we needed it.
